His experience at Lavrijsen BV
Eugen Codreanu
“The best part? I got a lot of attention, and I really felt seen.” – Eugen
At the beginning of the summer, Eugen was in an accident where he could have lost his arm.
“After the accident, I went to the hospital. BAM helped me with translation and guided me whenever I had a question. When I was allowed to go home from the hospital, the doctors warned me to be careful with the work I was doing. BAM really responded well to this. They called me every day to ask how I was doing, which was really nice. My return-to-work plan was tailored to my situation, so that I didn’t have to put too much strain on my body at first.
Eugen works as a grower at Lavrijsen Strawberry Farm. He spends a lot of time on various tasks such as planting strawberries, weeding, and maintenance. Eugen has been working for Lavrijsen Strawberry Farm for 6 years. His hard work is appreciated.
Communication with BAM “Communication with BAM went very smoothly,” Eugen says. “My job coach gave me a lot of attention and came to the site every week to check in on me. My employer also checked in several times to see how I was doing and to assess whether I needed to switch tasks. All this attention during my sick leave really made me feel seen.”
Eugen gives another great example: “I prefer to stay at home during my break. My job coach even visited me at home. Very often, it wasn’t even necessary for them to call me, but it made me feel appreciated. All I had to do was give them a call, and they immediately resolved my issue. That gave me the feeling that my needs and concerns were being taken seriously.”
Eugen is very happy with the support he received during his sick leave. At BAM Works, we don’t just take care of our employees—we also ensure that our clients have nothing to worry about. They don’t have to concern themselves with the support surrounding sick leave. And we make sure the reintegration process goes smoothly.
