Employee of the Month August 2023

Dana Ursescu

Originally I am from Romania and that is where I made the decision to come to Holland in search of a better future. And I must say, it has suited me very well so far.
What I especially like about working in the Netherlands is the program itself and the nature of the work.

It is very structured work and I like that. I get a lot of satisfaction from taking care of the plants and being able to contribute to their growth. Although I am grateful for this experience, there are times when I miss my family and children in my home country. Being far away from them can be challenging, but because of that, I know why I do this work.
As a greenhouse worker, my main responsibility lies in plant maintenance. This includes various tasks such as picking strawberries, planting, separating flowers and harvesting plants. It is a hands-on job that requires attention to detail.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of my job is the close connection I have with nature. Being surrounded by plants all day brings a sense of peace and fulfillment.
For anyone who wants to do the same work as me in the future, I have a few tips to share. First of all, be serious and dedicated to your work. Approach each task with dedication and a strong work ethic. In addition, stay motivated even when faced with challenges. The work can be physically demanding, but perseverance is essential. Finally, always be punctual.

In conclusion, my experience as part of the team at the Horticultural Greenhouse ll in the Netherlands has allowed me to build a better future while enjoying my passion for plants. I am grateful for the opportunity and would highly recommend this work environment to anyone looking for a fun job in the horticultural industry.
