Minimum wage to rise again from July 1

Minimum wage to rise again from July 1

Summer has truly begun. July starts with temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. In addition to the effects of climate change, another change awaits us in July. And it is a very positive one: the minimum wage in the Netherlands will rise even further. This is good news if you are starting work in the Netherlands.

The government adjusts the statutory minimum wage (WML) twice a year, on January 1 and July 1.
The minimum wage will now increase by 2.42% from €14.06 to €14.40 on July 1, 2025.
This means that all employees in the Netherlands must earn at least €14.40 per hour.

In addition, some collective labor agreements (CAOs) also have pay scales linked to the WML, which means that changes may occur here.
This means that wages that are not at the minimum wage level will also increase.

How this works depends on which CAO you fall under as an employee and which industry you work in.A wage increase has been agreed in various collective labor agreements. We will process this change in our system so that everyone will be paid the correct wage from July 1.
