What are your plans for the future?

For some it is still a long way off and for others the retirement age is getting closer. Then it's nice to know if there are arrangements for you later on. If you work in the Netherlands we are obliged to build up a savings (or pension) for you, your pension. You are entitled to this when you turn 67. Money is transferred to Stipp pension every month.

From basic to Plus plan

We used to use the basic plan, but now we have switched to the Plus plan for every employee. This means that 4% of your own salary is remitted to Stipp and BAM Works contributes 8%. This all happens automatically. You don't have to do anything for this.

What does the Plus plan entail?

The Plus plan is a defined contribution plan. Each month money is paid into an investment account. StiPP invests this money for you. The money deposited and the investment result together form your pension capital. When you retire, you use the pension capital to buy a monthly pension benefit.

The premium and what is arranged

In the Plus Plan, you pay the premium for your pension together with BAM Works. In the Plus Plan you accrue more pension than in the Basic Plan and, in addition to married couples and registered partners, cohabitants are also entitled to a partner's pension. In addition, under the Plus Plan you continue to accrue a pension (subject to conditions) if you become unfit for work during your employment.
